Phew what a busy two weeks! We are just back in the office following our recent visits to the Edinburgh and London Personal Financial Society Symposiums. It was our second time exhibiting at the events and we absolutely love the opportunity to get out and about to chat with some of our existing clients as well as meet lots of new advisers. Thanks to all of you who stopped by the stand to say hello, and have a little cocktail! Obviously in true Para-Sols style we kept it light and fun with a few little refreshments throughout the day.

There is such a great atmosphere at these events, and wonderful to be able to talk to so many of you face to face about your business plans, ambitions and thoughts and wishes for the industry as a whole. We’ve even got some good ideas from your feedback for our own business plans for 2017!

We topped off the events by attending the PFS Chartered Awards Dinner at Wembley Stadium to celebrate Jo being nominated for Paraplanner of the Year 2016. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the stars of the industry, and we had a lot of fun doing it! Congratulations to all the nominees and winners on your fantastic achievement, we thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to be back again next year.

Friday 18th November was Children in Need day and the PS team decided to help raise funds for this important charity .. through our very own Para-Solympics!

7 hours

And a whole load of 80s tunes!
In the foyer of our lovely offices at Lingfield Point we kept two exercise bikes and a step box going for 7 hours continuously.

The residents of and visitors to Lingfield were extremely generous, as were the people who provided online donations and we raised just under £300.

There is still chance to donate if you’d like to support Children in Need, simply click here

And we’re already working on our plans for next year… Danceathon anyone?!

Thanks again to everyone who kindly donated and supported us.

The Para-Sols Team

Since we started operating over 7 years ago, not only has our team grown, but our range of services has too. Starting out with a focus on providing Paraplanning support to advisers, we listened to feedback and comments from our clients telling us how else we could help to make their lives a little easier. With that in mind we are now working towards building a full support system to help you, with us now providing platform due diligence and support with centralised investment propositions to a large number of clients, and expanding our administration team to take on a fuller part of the process.

We fully understand how tricky and time consuming it is trying to liaise with providers to get letters of authority applied and full information sent out on existing plans. I speak to many advisers who send off the LOA’s but then find that chasing the information falls to the bottom of their priority list meaning cases take longer; this is one area we can help with. The Para-Sols admin team deals with providers all day every day (lucky them!), so if you need the data gathering doing on your cases, let us help. It’s all included within your case cost and we will request all information provided to be sent out in writing to go in your file.

But our admin support doesn’t stop there; we’ve had an increasing number of enquiries over the past year for help with annual reviews and valuations which we now support a number of clients with on a monthly basis. This helps them to deliver the ongoing service they are promising their clients, without taking up a huge amount of resource, enabling them to continue to focus on new client acquisition also. In our experience every adviser is different in the way they like to review their clients, which means we can make this bespoke to each firm.

To find out more about how we can help and support you, feel free to give me a call or drop me an email.

After much careful planning and preparation we are nearly ready for our second trip as exhibitors to this years PFS Financial Planning Symposiums. This year we will be in opposite ends of the country, having a stand at both the Edinburgh and London events.

After our first appearance last year we were overwhelmed to meet so many new faces, answer your queries and of course have a good catch up with our existing clients and friends. Please do stop by the stand if you are going to either of those events this year, we’ll have some refreshments and treats, as well as the chance to win a nice bottle of bubbly – typical Para-Sols style to have alcohol involved!

It will also be extra special this year as Jo Campbell our Senior Paraplanner has been shortlisted for Paraplanner of the Year at the annual awards dinner on the same evening at Wembley Staduim. Fingers crossed she can make it two titles in one year!

We look forward to seeing you all there soon!
